03Your Midheaven sign and career direction
Your Midheaven sign is the most useful single fact for a career question. A fire-sign Midheaven (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) points toward leading, performing and pioneering. An earth-sign Midheaven (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) points toward building, skill and results you can measure. Every house has a ruler: the planet that rules the sign on its cusp. The ruler of your 10th house carries your career into the house where it sits. Planets inside the 10th house add their own colour. Many charts have no planets in the 10th house, which is normal and does not mean a weak career.

05Timing: transits to your career points
Your birth chart does not change; the sky does. When a slow planet makes an exact angle to your Midheaven, Sun, Saturn, Jupiter or 10th-house ruler, career themes come forward. Jupiter tends to open doors and raise your profile, Saturn to test and consolidate, Uranus to bring sudden change, Neptune to blur or inspire, Pluto to transform.
The reading gives the exact date for each of these in the next six months. Slow transits build for weeks before the exact date and fade after it, and Saturn and the outer planets often touch the same point two or three times as they move back and forth. Treat the date as the peak of a season, not a single day.
Two transits are worth knowing by name. Jupiter crossing your Midheaven, roughly once every twelve years, is traditionally one of the most visible career moments in a life. Saturn crossing it, roughly every twenty-nine years, tends to bring responsibility and a reckoning with what you have built. If either falls in your six months, the reading shows it.
